Membership Benefits

If you sign up for a Prime Student membership, you will receive certain Amazon Prime benefits at no cost for an initial period as indicated in the Prime Student program pages. There is no minimum purchase requirement. Unless you cancel, when the initial period expires you will automatically be entitled to receive full Amazon Prime benefits (except that you may not invite your household members to share your Prime membership) for the reduced rate specified in the Prime Student section of our Help pages for a total benefit period (inclusive of your six month trial period) of up to four years. Benefits are subject to restrictions, such as geographic limitations, as stated in the Prime section of our Help pages. Unless you cancel, after you graduate or at the end of the fourth year of your Prime Student membership, whichever comes first, your subscription will automatically renew on its anniversary date into a full paid subscription for Amazon Prime at then-current rates. Prime Student members may also receive other benefits, such as discounts and promotions, which we will communicate to you via e-mail. From time to time, we may choose at our sole discretion to add or remove Prime Student membership benefits.

Conditions

To sign up for and use Prime Student, you must (1) have an Amazon.com account, (2) be a college student actively enrolled in at least one course at a college geographically located in one of the 50 United States, the District of Columbia, or Puerto Rico, (3) be able to provide proof of enrollment upon request and (4) have a valid e-mail address that contains the domain suffix .edu. We may accept or refuse membership at our sole discretion. We may ask you to furnish documentation supporting your eligibility. If you do not provide documentation indicating that you meet the eligibility requirements above, you may be required to reimburse us for benefits you received as a result of your Prime Student membership. The Prime Student membership is for personal use only and may not be used to purchase products or services for the purpose of resale. You may not transfer or assign your Prime Student membership or the benefits associated with a Prime Student membership. You may not use your student e-mail address for more than one Prime Student membership. You may not enroll in Prime Student more than once.

Agreement Changes

We may in our discretion change these Terms or any aspect of Prime Student membership, without notice to you. If any change is found invalid, void, or for any reason unenforceable, that change is severable and does not affect the validity and enforceability of any remaining changes or conditions. 

Refund prime student

If you decide to reinstate your Prime Student membership, you'll no longer be eligible for the Prime Student six month trial membership. You'll only be offered a Prime Student monthly membership at $6.49 or annual membership at $59.

General Returns Policy

The following general returns policy is applicable to all items sold on Amazon.in. All items with the logo on the product detail page are Fulfilled by Amazon (FBA). All in-FBA items are seller fulfilled.

1. In general, an item may be eligible for return within the applicable return window if it fulfills one or more of the following conditions:
   • Was delivered in a physically damaged condition
   • Has missing parts or accessories
   • Is different from what was ordered
   • Is different from its description on the product detail page on Amazon.in
   Products marked as "non-returnable" on the product detail page cannot be returned. 
2. All items must be returned in their original condition, with price tags intact, user manual, warranty cards, original accessories and in the original manufacturer’s box/packaging as delivered to you. Refer to instructions to return items against each category. We may reject the return pickup if the items are not returned according to the policy mentioned against each category.
3. Only Fulfilled by Amazon (FBA) items may be eligible for replacement. For more details, please refer.
4. If you wish to return an electronic device that stores any personal information, please ensure that you have removed all such personal information from the device prior to returning. Amazon shall not be liable in any manner for any misuse or usage of such information."
5. In some cases, items may not be eligible for return, including cases of buyer's remorse such as incorrect model or color of product ordered or incorrect product ordered.

Instant Refunds & Refund Without Return

In some cases, you may be offered an "Instant refund" option to allow you to use your refund without waiting for your return to process. Instant Refunds are either issued to your credit card or as an Amazon.com Gift Card balance. Refunds issued to card issuers will require an additional 3-5 business days processing time by those institutions. You'll still need to return your items within 30 days.

Return a Gift

The Online Returns Center allows gift recipients to return items marked as a gift at the time of purchase. The type of refund or credit you receive depends on how the gift was purchased and how it's returned. Gift recipients won't be eligible for exchanges or instant refunds.

Return a Textbook Rental

You can return a Textbook Rental through your account after the first 30 days of the rental period. If you return the textbook after the first 30 days, you won't receive a refund of the rental fee.

• To return a Textbook Rental within the first 30 days of your rental period, go to Return Items You Ordered. If the book is in the same condition as when you received it, you'll receive a full refund.
• To avoid late fees, please drop the books off with the carrier on or before the due date.

Return Kindle Books

You may be able to return books and comics that you bought from the Kindle Store for a refund. We will consider your return if we receive your request within seven days of the date of purchase.

Amazon doesn’t require its users to jump through hoops to get a Prime refund, and the entire process can be completed in just a few seconds on the company’s website. There’s no attempt to hide the process, to the company’s credit, and it even offers shortcut buttons to the exact place you need to go.

• First of all to have to go to on page ‘Manage Prime Membership,’ or you can just visit Amazon’s End your Amazon Prime Membership.
• If that doesn’t work for some reason, click on “Accounts & Lists,” then “Prime” to view and manage your subscription. 
• Within there, look in the left-side menu for information about your subscription, when it renewed, and similar. At the very bottom is an option that says ‘End of membership'.

• Click that and Amazon will give you multiple options, the two big ones being: end your membership but keep your current subscription until it expires or ends it immediately and get a refund for the membership.  

• Click ‘End Now.’ Amazon will try on one more page to get you to keep your membership, but if you’re certain, confirm your desire to cancel. A new notice will pop up advising you that a refund will be applied within a handful of days.

CANCEL FREE PRIME TRAIL:

The process for canceling an Amazon Prime free trial is nearly identical to the above process, but with a slight verbiage change: you need to click ‘Do Not Continue.’ This will result in the Amazon Prime benefits disappearing after the trial ends; failing to do this will result in your card being charged for the next year, at which point you can follow the above process to get a refund.

OTHER OPTIONS FOR REFUND A MEMBERSHIP:

You can choose within the Prime Membership settings to switch from an annual subscription to a monthly subscription. This will result in your card being billed $10.99/month rather than $97/year. If you’re planning to have the subscription all year, though, it is better to get billed all at once; the yearly cost of the monthly rate works out to about $131 USD. If, on the other hand, you’re only interested in Prime for its entertainment benefits, there’s yet another monthly subscription option: $8.99/month for an Amazon Prime Video subscription. This gives you access to all of the content that is free for Prime, but none of the shipping benefits or other things.

Promotional Trial Memberships: Amazon sometimes offers certain free customers trail or other promotional memberships which are subject to these terms except as otherwise stated in the promotional offers.
